GS FAME Anti-Drug Speech Contest 2010
Tuesday, March 30, 2010
The GS FAME Student Council of Hayam Wuruk campus led by its Social and Sports Committees celebrated this year’s Anti-Drug Campaign on Thursday, 25 March 2010 through speech and sports competitions. Students from the English 104 class joined the anti-drug speech contest with a topic: “Should prospective students be drug tested?”
After the tabulation of scores given by the two judges, namely: Mr. Mario Eugenio and Mr. Christopher Cura, the top ten participants were chosen to advance to the sports competition. Dewi, Christianto, Hadi, Keren, Michelle, Natasha, Priscilla, Richard, Tiffany and Thomas were the participants who garnered the ten highest ratings from the speech contest. They participated in a “Question and Answer” relay game organized by the Sports Committee. Each of them was given questions to answer after running back and forth inside the contest venue. The first three students with the highest points emerged as winners. Dewi Mikono won the first prize followed by Hadi as the second prize winner and Natasha got the third prize.
The event’s purpose was to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse to GS FAME students, and to ensure that they lead clean and healthy lives.
