GS FAME Kelapa Gading’s First Intercultural Day
Monday, September 06, 2010
It was our first Intercultural day here in Gading Campus sponsored by the Student Council and the last project of the incumbent president Yohito. Students pretty much anticipated this event and thankfully this event went well. The whole Unity room was transformed into mini stages and decorated with five-country themes. The five countries were: Greece (the main stage), Italy, Netherlands, United States of America and India. Each stage represented the country’s culture and places of interests. A duet by “Italians” David and Varcella wowed the audience and an Indian-inspired dance entitled “Jai Ho” performed by Diksha, Michelle W, Michelle S and Evelyn enliven the crowd of students and lecturers. The American cowboy, Rowel and cowgirl, Evelyn also showed their Hollywood antics and the program’s highlight was the fashion show. The judges of the event were pretty much impressed with the contestants.
The winners of the fashion show were: Third place, Tiffany of The Netherlands, complete with a pail of “fresh milk”, second place, the Indian team: Karan, Michelle S and Diksha and finally the first winner went to the Italian team: David and Varcella.
Congratulations to all winners and participants of this event!
