Mr. James Gwee In Action.
The English, Management, Marketing and Book Clubs of the GS FAME Hayam Wuruk Student Council (headed by Fiona, Maria Harliyono, Marissa and Nelson Trisno) sponsored an interesting James Gwee motivational seminar entitled "The Value Revolution" on Friday, January 28, 2011. The seminar was imparted by the Top Sales Trainer and Speaker in Indonesia, Mr. James Gwee. Mr. Gwee is also the Director of Academia Education & Training, a training and consultancy company based in Singapore. He has been invited to speak in many prestigious events all over Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, South Africa, India and even Moscow.
The event started with a video presentation of Mr. James Gwee’s previous seminars. He began the seminar with enthusiasm,
explaining the importance of knowing that there is a ‘pattern’ in everything we do. That if we know the pattern,
we can predict what comes next and that we would have greater chance of being successful. With James Gwee’s dynamic,
friendly and informal approach, combined with his unique combination of Bahasa Indonesia and English, he was able to
impart his knowledge to all the participants which consisted of GS FAME students, some high school students, lecturers,
staff and some guests.
James Gwee showed and illustrated some examples on how people perceive value and the importance
of understanding it. He was so full of spontaneity and humor making the seminar truly an enjoyable learning experience for
all the participants. Some participants are given a copy of James Gwee’s Seminar Video on CD.
The seminar was concluded by Mr. James Gwee by giving a simple exercise he called “Who Want’s to be a Millionaire?”
wherein the participants are requested to make paper money with a denominations of $10, $20, $30, $40, $50 and $100.
All the participants must exchange or trade their mock money with others in order to earn a million dollars.
The seminar was indeed an enriching experience for the GS FAME students.
