Library Week

The GS FAME Library, in cooperation with the Student Council, held the Library Week 2011 on December 12-16, 2011. Students competed in word games such as Actionary and Scrabble to enhance and test students’ stock of vocabulary. Also, many students participated in an essay writing contest with the theme, “My Role as a Business Student in Indonesia’s Growing Economy,” aimed to improve students’ grammar and creativity.

The winners of the Essay Writing contest were: 1st place: Rowel D. Tamano; 2nd place: David Setiawan; and 3rd place: Sylvia Kamili. The winners of Actionary were: 1st place: Michelle Prislee, Keren, Yulia Setiasuci, and Varcella Widjaja; 2nd place: Felix Pratama, Eka Marella, Irlia Goffar, and Steven Bong and; 3rd place: Chandri, Andrianus, Bryan Andrean, and Andrian Yunawan. For Scrabble, Irlia Goffar placed first while Nelson Trisno, second.

Ping-Pong was also played to enliven the week. The winners were Akash Sharma and Kashish Raj Kumar 1st place for doubles, and Robin and Felix Pratama were the 2nd best. For singles, Christiadi Putra won 1st place and Kashish Raj Kumar was the 2nd place winner.

The GS FAME Librarians expressed their gratitude to all participants and committee members who helped make this event successful.
